Barton's first love for Great Danes was begun
with Docktor Von Meistersinger, a black male
whelped by the notable and well known breeder
Toni Pratt of Meistersinger Kennels in Louisville
Kentucky. "Doc" died tragically at the early age on
18 months with a cardiac anomaly. The grief from
the loss of "Doc" prevented further pets for over
20 years.
At the inception of Caesia Dius Great Danes in
2004, Barton made a commitment to the breed
with "Angel", our first blue great dane. Further
Barton's commitment was to never be "out of
Great Danes" ever again. So far, mission
accomplished.
Barton works in all aspects of day to day kennel
operations, but specifically focuses' on Web
Design, advertising, contracts and sales of
puppies.
Breeding stock selection and breeding are shared
tasks between Barton and his wife Kathlyn.
Bartons' other duties at 116 Dorris Drive are
father to Jacob and Josie and husband to Kathlyn,
as well as maintenance man and other assorted
Honey do's

KATHLYN

Kathy works full time for Airtex
Products in Fairfield. She has been an
Airtex associate for 18 years. Kathy's
family has been together with Barton
for 9 years now. Kathy is mother to
Jacob and Josie and the Daddy.
Kathy's involvement with Great Danes
started in 2004 with the introduction of
"Angel". Angel was Kathy's first ever
house dog. Having such a large dog in
the house was initially a culture shock
for Kathy but she is now accustomed
to having the large breed dogs in the
house.
Kathy's special favorite is our Jaguar
Margarejro from Poland. Jaguar's
personality has captured Kathy's heart
and she "keeps him under her wing".
Kathy's involvement with Caesia Dius
Great Danes includes all day to day
operations. Her main areas of
involvement are feeding nurturing and
exercising our dogs. She is very hands
on in the breeding, whelping and
training of puppies. Kathy advises
Barton regularly on many issues both
in and out of the kennel. Our dogs call
her affectionately, "The Momma".

Josie is Barton and Kathy's
daughter. She is very involved in
taking care of our dogs.

whelping puppies. Josie has shown,
maturity, judgement and
independent thinking caring for the
puppies.
Josie get assigned a lot of the pick
up clean up activities and has done
very well in helping Barton and Kathy.
Josie will finish her school year soon
and looks forward to summer. She
enjoys all outdoor activities, playing
with her friends. Josie, like all of us
enjoys camping when time permits.

15 and attended school recently at
Chaddock in Quincy, IL. Jacob has
experienced much growth and maturity.
